Centre Pompidou Metz, France
Project location: Metz, France
Software used: Advance Design
Architecture office: CTE Design Office
The structure of this project consists of 3 superposed exhibition galleries of 86 m length, 15 m width and 8 m height, a building with 7 levels, a studio and a circular shaped restaurant and a hexagonal tower with a steel cover rising to 77m height and a concrete/steel front.
“The Centre Pompidou-Metz has been an important challenge in terms of structural analysis for our engineer’s staff which called upon all their skills. Today, this project is one of the most exceptional references for our Design office alongside others such as the Grenoble Stadium located in a seismic area, the Strasbourg Hospital (108m long building without any dilatation joint), etc.”
Mr Thierry HUMMEL, CTE Design Office
