February 1st, 2011 all services by Delft GeoSystems will be taken over by Deltares systems. Deltares systems will sell services within the field of Geo- and Hydro-engineering.
Products overview:
Software tools are user-friendly, based on quick and robust analytical calculation procedures using common default soil parameters where required. In general our products use known peer-reviewed and validated calculation techniques with advanced options for more sophisticated modelling of the below ground environment.
All products have windows-based, user-friendly interfaces. To aid the user, all products are modular, with common components allowing for seamless product integration, and the export of data between programs. For example, settlement geometry and parameters calculated within D-Settlement (settlement analysis program) can be exported into D-Geo Stability for stability analyses.
D-Sheet Piling:
The stability of the majority of all Dutch retaining walls has been checked using methods and tools developed by Deltares, the leading Institute for Delta Technology. In 2002, GeoDelft founded Delft GeoSystems. Previous releases of D-Sheet Piling were named MSheet.
D-Sheet Piling is a tool used to design retaining walls and horizontally loaded piles. D-Sheet Piling’s graphical interactive interface requires just a short training period, allowing the user to focus their skills directly on the input of sound geotechnical data and the subsequent design of the wall or single pile.
D-Foundations:
Based on CPT test results, calculation techniques and design codes have been developed for the design of piled foundations in The Netherlands and Belgium. Since 1990, Deltares has been involved in the development of foundation design software. This has resulted in design and verification software for bearing piles, tension piles and shallow foundations. Previous releases of D-Foundations were called MFoundation.
CPT tests measure cone resistance, as well as skin friction along the friction sleeve near the cone. These properties are ideal for the design of piled foundations, where both pile base resistance and pile shaft resistance are important.
D-Geo Stability:
D-Geo Stability is a slope stability package for soft soils. Previous releases of D-Geo Stability were named MStab. Deltares systems tools follow best practice, and are developed according to modern software standards; therefore they are user-friendly and easy to learn.
Over the past 75 years, the stability of the majority of the dikes and embankments has been checked using methods and tools developed by Deltares, the leading Dutch Institute in this field. In 2002, GeoDelft founded Delft GeoSystems. Since the formation of Deltares in 2008, Delft GeoSystems has become Deltares systems.
D-Settlement:
D-Settlement is practical and easy-to-use software. D-Settlement quickly predicts the transient settlement and its bandwidth during the design stage. D-Settlement can automatically improve this prediction during the construction stage by employing measurements. D-Settlement offers accurate and robust models, capturing consolidation, creep, submerging, drains, staged loading, and unloading and reloading. The dedicated graphical user interface supports convenient data input and easy interpretation of results. Reliability is guaranteed by well-established solution methods, thorough validation, high-level expertise of the developer and a large user-base.
D-Pile Group:
D-Pile Group enables the analysis of the three-dimensional behaviour of single piles and pile groups, interacting via the pile cap and the soil, as a function of loading. For this purpose D-Pile Group offers a unique combination of the internationally accepted design rules of the API (American Petroleum Institute) and special soil interaction models all within the same graphical user interface.
One of the great benefits of D-Pile Group is that switching between different computational models is very easy since all relevant input data of the previous model is kept. This flexibility gives the user the opportunity to choose between a fast and simple calculation and a more complex but more accurate calculation, in a way that best suits particular needs. The choice of models to be used depends principally on the distance between piles.
D-Geo Pipeline:
The program D-Geo Pipeline provides tools for the design of a pipeline installation in a trench and trenchless installation, using the micro tunnelling technique or the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) technique. D-Geo Pipeline allows the user to minimize the risks during and after installation.
Previous releases of D-Geo Pipeline were named MDrill. MDrill was one of the first design codes for Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). MDrill was de result of years of research. Since the release of the first version in 1995, the design code has regularly been updated with new knowledge. Recently, two modules have been added to take into account the installation of pipelines using micro tunnelling and the installation of pipelines in trenches.
